Did you know how many grades of Mechanical meters there are ?

There are 4 grades of rotating disc type Mechanical meters :

1. High-grade meter - Uses high-quality materials, has an error value of only +-2%, which does not exceed the TIS or IEC standards, and can be used for at least 10 years.
2. Medium-grade meter - The error value does not exceed the TIS/or IEC standards at the beginning. However, because high-grade parts were not selected, after 2-3 years of use, the error value may increase to exceed the standard by more than 5%.
3. Low-grade meters - These are meters that have not been certified by TIS/or IEC standards, where the error value may be too high. In addition, after using for a while, they may become damaged and stuck or may not rotate back.
4. Rebuilt/fake meters - These are second-hand meters that are assembled from scraps of various brands of meters that are damaged or expired. This causes the error value to exceed the standard and after using for a while, they will be damaged until they get stuck or turn back. In some cases, the nameplate is forged to be a meter of a famous brand.
