5 Things Engineers need to know about "IE1 Motor"
It is well known that the current trend of electrical energy consumption and electricity costs has been continuously increasing, causing every industry to find alternative energy or methods that help reduce energy consumption and production costs. Therefore, government agencies or related organizations have set various standards and laws to control energy use for maximum efficiency. Electric motors are basic equipment that every industry needs. Therefore, motor efficiency standards have been set by the IEC, or abbreviated as IE code. So, “What is IE code?”
Today we will summarize 5 points so that everyone can easily understand as follows :
1.IE code stands for International Energy efficiency class or motor efficiency level. It is divided into 4 levels starting from IE1, IE2, IE3 and IE4 according to IEC60034-30-1 standard, which each country will be the one to determine and enforce as law.
2.IE code is defined using Efficiency or efficiency (η) values calculated from the ratio of input electrical power (used by the motor) to output mechanical power (operated by the motor) and taking into account the losses incurred.
3. Thailand is in the process of establishing a regulatory standard that requires motors to display the IE code on all products that are subject to the standard. This defines the efficiency level of the motor based on the power rating (kW) and the pole (P). For example, a 0.75kW 4P motor must have an IE1 efficiency rating of no less than 72.1%. If the efficiency is lower than this, the motor is considered to be non-compliant.
4. When comparing the performance of IE1 motors with general motors, they will perform the same, but IE1 motors will use less electricity, resulting in greater savings on electricity bills. And if a motor with a higher IE level is used, it will save even more energy.
5. Mitsubishi Electric Motors under the Mitsubishi Electric brand understands and is aware of the use of electrical energy. Therefore, we have designed and developed “IE1 Motors” under the model name “Super Line Q series” using modern technology and selecting high-quality raw materials for production. It has been tested and evaluated with detailed, precise and accurate tools, allowing us to produce IE1 motors that can meet all the needs of users. We also have distributors covering every region of the country, along with after-sales service centers ready to provide services at all times.
“Mitsubishi IE1 Electric Motor” 1 choice for 1 green world, reduce energy consumption, save electricity costs, increase profits, reduce costs.
