How do you know ? Which motor is IE1 ?

Currently, the use of electric motors in our country is mostly familiar with the IEC standard, which specifies the efficiency level of the motor, with the starting standard level being IE1.

Today, we will introduce 4 ways to observe which motors meet IE1 standards.

1. Look at the symbols attached to the motor or the cover of the motor box. Observe from the picture. There will be 1 leaf and the letters below the label say "SuperLine IE1" 1 leaf = IE1.

2.Look at the motor nameplate or Nameplate which is always attached to the motor. It will clearly state “IE1” in the EFF. CLASS row (according to the Nameplate image). It also indicates all the basic information of that electric motor, such as:

  • Brand and place of manufacture.
  • Is a 1 phase or 3 phase induction motor.
  • Types of Motors, which means Model and Pole.
  • Duty is the type of operation, most commonly S1, which means the motor works continuously.
  • Thermal Class by 155(F) is the insulation's ability to withstand temperatures of up to 155 degrees Celsius at the coil.
  • Degree of protection (IP) is the level of protection against solids and liquids entering the motor. IP55 is the level of protection against solids at the dust level and liquids at the high pressure water jet level in all directions.

Motors that meet IE1 efficiency class standards can truly save energy and reduce electricity costs.
